Wildcat Wednesday Tales
Student Holidays October 10, October 11, and October 14
Parent Conferences
The teachers will soon be scheduling parent conferences. Parent conferences will be held during the fall semester. It is important for parents to attend conferences so that the school and home can work together in a partnership. There is a strong correlation between parent involvement and student success. We are so fortunate at Willow Creek to have such wonderful parent support.
STEAM Conference
We are so excited that we again will be offering the STEAM Conference for 3rd - 7th grades on Oct 26th from 8:00 - 12:00 at Tomball Jr. High School. Registration flyers are available through Peach Jar to all students in grades 3rd - 7th.
We are also starting a new opportunity for our artists with the STEAM Conference T-shirt Design Contest. 3rd - 7th grade students can submit their T-shirt design and if it is chosen for the conference shirt, they will receive a free registration fee.
Parent University
“We are excited to invite you to our first Parent University session of the 2024-2025 school year, "ADHD, My Superpower!", on September 30th, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Timber Creek Elementary.
In this session, we will explore what ADHD is, focus on its positive aspects, and show how it can truly be a superpower! We'll delve into the biological basis of ADHD and discuss its influence on emotional regulation, executive functioning, and social interactions. Additionally, we'll share practical strategies for supporting students with ADHD at home and in school.
Upcoming Parent University Sessions:
Empowering Digital Citizenship: Ethical and Responsible Use of Generative AI – October 15th
Pre-K Parent Engagement: The PK Experience – November 5th
For a full calendar of Parent University sessions, please visit the Tomball ISD Parent University webpage.”
Digital Citizenship September 30-October 4
The week of September 30th-October 4th, the Digital Learning Department will host Digital Citizenship Week. The week will include daily themes and announcements, and lessons focused on digital citizenship concepts, and time for teachers and students to engage in discussions that will promote safety and security in an online environment.

Red Robin will offer tables games, complimentary face painting, and balloon animals
Students can enter a drawing for a chance to be one of two winners for a free Trunk or Treat wristband.
When ordering online, go to categories in the menu and click on “Fundraisers/To-Go Only” and add to bag.
Attendance Matters
At Willow Creek Elementary, instruction begins promptly at 8:55 a.m. each day. Plan to arrive before this time, to allow your child time to walk to class, get unpacked and be ready for the day.
If you arrive to drop off your child in the car rider line at 8:55 a.m., you are already LATE. Our staff has been instructed to stop opening car doors and walk inside the building when the bell rings at 8:55 a.m.
If your child is late, proceed to the front of the building and park your car. For safety, do not drop your child off, you must walk the child to the front office and sign them in..
All late arrivals will reflect on your child’s attendance as missed instruction time. Late arrivals without a doctor’s note are unexcused.. Should a pattern of late arrivals develop, a new proof of residency or a new affidavit may be required.
As a reminder, bus service is available to all students living in the Willow Creek attendance zone. For more information on bus service please follow the link below: https://www.tomballisd.net/about-tisd/departments/transportation
If your child is not currently a bus rider and you want to start sending them to/from school, please send a written request and let us know what days your child will ride the bus home from school. We will take it from there and we will contact transportation to have your child added to the route.
