April 2025

An Important Time of Year

Dear Northwood Middle School Families,

As we welcome April, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible progress our students have made. In the third quarter, we saw improvement across every academic and behavior metric, and we couldn’t be prouder! Our students have set goals, worked hard, and met them—demonstrating the values of Respect, Responsibility, and Readiness to Learn in everything they do.

April is also an important month as we enter state testing. These assessments, happening in the first week of April, are a great opportunity for students to showcase all they have learned this year. To support them, we will be sharing helpful test prep strategies as part of our monthly focus. Families, we encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of doing their best, getting plenty of rest, and arriving to school on time during testing days.

Additionally, please mark your calendars—Spring Break will take place from April 18 through April 27. We hope this break provides everyone with a chance to relax and recharge before the final stretch of the school year. Until then, lets keep up the positive momentum.
