SEL Second Step Program
Dear Parents,
In this week’s Second Step lesson, your child will continue discussing how to solve interpersonal problems and the difference between minor and major conflicts. They will continue to explore the common reasons why social conflicts escalate. They will continue to practice ways to de-escalate conflicts. They will continue to work in groups to brainstorm ways to resolve minor and major conflicts.
Parents, try this at home. Share how one of your friendships or relationships has changed over time. Ask your child to share how some of their friendships have changed since starting middle school or this school year.
