Disciplinary Alternative Education Programs
A disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) is established in conformance with Texas Education Code (TEC), §37.008, and this section is defined as an educational and self-discipline alternative instructional program, adopted by local policy, for students in elementary through high school grades who are removed from their regular classes for mandatory or discretionary disciplinary reasons and placed in a DAEP.

Happy New Year !!!!
I hope you are having a great start to 2025. January is the first month of the new year and this allows students and parents to set new goals for the school year. Sometimes it may be difficult for students to look at the new year as a fresh start because they may have had bumps in the road, academically or behaviorally during their first semester. The school and parents need to work as a collaborative team to help our students develop a plan for student success. One of the first things the team can do to assist the student with planning and goal setting.
Tips
Step 1 - Goal Setting
Meet with your child and find out what their area of struggles are, it can be academic or behavioral. Make sure you ask them, what would they like to improve.
Step 2 - Planning
Help your child create a plan to help them achieve their goals.
Step 3 - Celebrate
Celebrate your child’s progress and achievements, to help keep them motivated.
