Picture Day - Tuesday, September 24th.
For picture day students are expected to dress up. Students may wear nice jeans. Shorts may be worn, but may not be sport-style shorts or tight-fitting. Girls may wear flats; no sandals are allowed. If they have PE they will need to bring tennis shoes. Dresses and skirts may not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Bare shoulders are not allowed unless a sweater or jacket is worn. Girls should wear shorts under their dress or skirt if they have PE or if desired for recess. Students will not be allowed to change clothes after their pictures. This year, Good Shepherd is continuing to implement Disciple of Christ, Education in Virtue. This program was developed by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, and is based on St. Thomas Aquinas’ teachings on the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are focusing on introducing a new virtue each month. The virtue of the month for September is loyalty. Students have been enjoying learning each virtue and demonstrating what it means to be a Disciple of Christ.
