CES Happenings
Dear CES Family,
We have another round of parent-teacher conferences coming up the week of January 29. Given that we had parent conferences back in October, teachers have scheduled appointments only for students they believe have a need for in-person communication with parents. That being said, if you did not receive a request for a conference but would like to meet with your child's teacher, please feel free to reach out to that teacher and make an appointment.
A reminder: there will be minimum days Monday through Friday the week of January 29th, which means that Kindergarten is out 12:50 p.m. and grades 1-6 are out at 1:00 p.m. all week. TK students are released at their regular release time of noon.
Another reminder: no school next Monday due to the MLK holiday. Have a great three-day weekend. See you next Tuesday.

Winter Is Here, Wear Your Gear!
Time to start dressing for snow and cold weather! Unless it's raining, we're outdoors in the snow and the cold. Remember the gear: gloves, hats, snow bibs, jackets and snow boots. All of this will make your child's time outdoors much more enjoyable. When the snow comes and the snow hills appear on the playground, this gear will be required on the snow hills. Also, please remember to send a pair of tennis shoes with your student each day! This is important for PE and exercise times. Thank you!
School Attendance
School attendance matters! Students who are in school simply do better and learn more. Some of you have had questions about what constitutes an unexcused versus excused absence, so we've put together a cheat sheet for you.
