Kindergarten will be going to Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park on February 19th, 2025. We are thankful for all of our chaperones. Chaperone letters will be sent home soon. We are looking forward to a GREAT visit to the Zoo!

A copy of the Quarter 3 Kindergarten Expectation Letter will be sent home in Take Home Folders the week of January 13th..

Please make sure your child is independently engaging in Lexia Core 5 and Zearn at home. Both are on MyPascoConnect. The username is your child's student number/lunch number. Teachers will send you their passwords.

"From Plant to Plate " is our new ALU that launches the week of February 3rd. Students will be learning about what is happening down in the dirt to the top of the ground to help plants grow in the garden.

A great way for your child to love reading is to see their role models loving to read, so don't be afraid to spend lots of time reading to them.

This year kindergarten is using the UFLI Foundations program. Home practice will be sent home after each lesson starting with lesson 5. A Weekly Reading and Spelling Practice Guide was sent home earlier this school year in Take Home Folders to help explain how you can review at home with your student.

Above you will find a video that explains how you can support your reader at home and videos that explain what students will be focusing on the weeks of February 3rd & 10th. Below is a PDF of both the Weekly Reading and Spelling Home Practice Guide & printable letter tiles and mat. Please let your teacher know if you need a copy of the letter tiles and mat sent home.

We want students to be excited about expressing themselves through writing. Students will be working on drawing detailed pictures and writing multiple sentences on topic. Sentences will start to have different sentence stems. An example might be: "I like pumpkins. Pumpkins are orange." They have such great stories to share and are continuing to build their writing stamina.

In math module 4, students will explore part-total relationships as they compose and decompose shapes and number in more than one way. They will represent the quantities and relationships in story problems with objects, fingers, drawings, and number bonds.
