St. Columba's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 3 | 20 FEB 2025
“Be with us all, Christ Jesus, as we go about the busyness of our work.
Hold us accountable not only for our actions, but most importantly to each of our neighbours.
May we continue to work together to bring about your reign! We ask this in your holy name, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a smooth start to the school year and the students have settled in well.
Miss Hunter our Year 1 teacher has resigned and I have employed Miss Roisin Howard to replace her. Miss Howard will commence in Year 1W on Tuesday, 4 March. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mrs Stirling who has taught the class in the interim since the first day of school. She has done an outstanding job and has provided continuity for the students.
A big thank you to Mr Chatt for a very well organised swimming carnival last Friday. It was an outstanding success and the students had a great time. Their participation was terrific and they were very supportive of each other during the events. Congratulations to Casey who were deserving winners.
Our Year 6 students are currently on Camp in Pinjarra and I visited them today. I am sure that they will appreciate the cooler weather that has eventuated and will be extremely tired by the time they arrive home on Friday.
Edu dance has got off to a great start. The students have really enjoyed the sessions with the dance teachers. Just a reminder that if your child’s class have an Edu dance lesson they are able to wear sports uniform to school on that day and also the day that they have their Phys- ed lesson.
God Bless and keep safe.
