Principal Update

Greeting!

We had a great week with the start of FAST testing and our 2nd Annual Grandparent's Day. Please read this newsletter for important information.

Interim Reports- Please be advised that Quarter 1 interim reports will be sent via email on Friday, September 13th. If you have any questions or concerns, please set up a conference with your child's teacher(s).

Uniform Updates: While we are aware that some students are still waiting on delivery of their school uniforms, we do ask that students in grades 6th, 7th, 8th produce a copy of their iUniform order if out of uniforms. Please place a copy of the uniform receipt in your child's backpack. Uniforms checks have begun. Additionally, students out of uniform while waiting for iUniforms must be dressed appropriately.

Grades K-1: Please make sure that you have packed a change of clothes in the event of your child needing to change. Place in your child's backpack a ziploc labeled with spare clothes.

MYP- We are asking our scholars to refrain from wearing pimple patches or stickers on their faces during the instructional day. This is causing a disruption of learning. Thank you for your assistance.

In accordance with Florida House Bill 733, public schools are required to adjust the start times for middle and high school beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Please be advised that Franklin Academy's middle school hours already comply with the legislation, as our start time is beyond the 8:00 AM restriction. Therefore, our current school hours will remain unchanged. We continue to monitor the law and if the legislature makes any changes that do impact us, we will notify families right away.

FortifyFL - See something, say something

FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows students to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.

QUICK AND EASY SAFETY TIP SUBMISSION

By accessing FortifyFL, students can provide a description of the threat, share pics, and videos and optionally submit their contact information. Submissions can be anonymous or non-anonymous. Submitting a tip is quick and easy using our mobile app or website.

All Franklin Academy students have access to FortifyFL via their Clever portal dashboard.

Help make the 2024-2025 year be our best yet by joining the PTO. Membership is $15 per family. Joining PTO entitles you to preferred access to volunteering at our top events like Franklin Feast, Field Day & more. Our first PTO meeting is in person on September 11th at 6PM.
