From the Principal:
Dear St. Bernard Families,
Happy End of the School Year!
It has been a great year and I can hardly believe that we have just two days remaining… Thank you for all you’ve done to make this such a wonderful year. The School is the Community - parents, students, families, teachers, administrators, parish, etc. - and what sets St. Bernard apart is the Community. Speaking of community… Don’t miss out on the Parish Picnic this Friday at Strickers Grove. It is always a great time for the kids and such a cool way to close out the year.
Tonight is Graduation Night for our 8th Graders. Pray for them! The transition to high school can be a tough one, but we know our 8th Graders have a great foundation. Nevertheless, we’ve been praying here at school for them and invite you to take some time with your family and ask for an outpouring of God’s grace upon the Graduating Class of 2025.
Students can be out of uniform tomorrow and then in Spirit Wear on Friday! See my OptionC email from earlier this week for an outline of the last day. Our morning routine and ceremony is approximate, but our dismissal is exact! Dismissal begins at 11AM!
Shout out to the many families who helped to make the Spring Production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat a great success! There really is a lot of volunteering and giving that goes into a production of that scale, but it sure is worth it. Our kids were part of something really special and really FUN. Thank you for helping and for letting them participate. A shout out to Mr. and Mrs. Jung for their great work and also to all the St. Bernard Players who did such a great job on (and behind) stage! I can’t wait for next year’s show!
Have a great last few days and a beautiful summer! I hope to see you at the Picnic on Friday! God bless!
Sincerely,
Mr. Ertel
From the Office:
Summer is almost here!
SCHOOL FEES: Recent payments and fees will be entered by tomorrow evening (5/22). Final statements will go home on the last day of school. It's important that these are paid in full by Friday, June 6. Thank you!
LIBRARY BOOKS are still missing. All St. Bernard Library books should have been turned in by now. Fees will be added for any missing library books. We would rather have the books than the money. Please help us keep the library stocked by returning any overdue books.
SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS are available for purchase online through Friday, June 13. These can save you a lot of time and trouble. They will be delivered to the school for pick up no later than Friday, August 15. I'll notify everyone when they arrive. A portion of the purchase comes back to the school as a modest fundraiser. ORDER HERE Use school code: 51344
MEDICINES must be picked up in the school office on the last day. Please arrive a little before 11:00am to pick them up prior to dismissal if possible.
UNIFORM EXCHANGE will be held next week in the School Library during our summer hours (see below). Drop off any usable items to the School Office this week.
SUMMER HOURS are 9:00am - 2:00pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am - 12:00pm on Fridays. The School Office is CLOSED for Memorial Day and during the month of July.

Sports Engine Account Sign Up (Required for 2025-26!)
Happy Summer to all St Bernard Families,
Next school year we are going to be transitioning to a new sports registration system to hopefully make things easier for all of us. Our new system is called Sports Engine. If your child has played a sport with St James, or maybe another club program you might already have an account. If not it won't take long to get one setup.
Each parent/guardian can have an account, but one needs to be the main account and invite the others so you can link your child(ren) to each account.
Our plan is start using the new system with our Girls Volleyball and Boys basketball in the fall. But before you sign-up for a sport we have a general registration link where you can establish our account and get connected to St Bernard. If you have any questions or issues getting started please contact Brad Scheper (schepebc@gmail.com) for assistance. It is recommended to use a PC vs a Phone because it will be a little easier to navigate. To create your account or link your current account to https://stbernards-taylorcreek.sportngin.com/register/form/830534133
(after you create an account you may need to click this link again to register with St Bernard.)
We are also going to use this system's communication tool as well. So please allow text notifications so you can be kept alerted to communications from us and coaches. In addition there is an App you can download to your phone.
If you think you will have child play a sport this year or next please create an account so you will receive notification when registration will start.
Thanks
Joe Zirkelbach

IMPORTANT: EDCHOICE REQUIREMENTS
Our school has 175 scholarships awarded for the 2024-25 school year. There are two important steps that I need parents to complete in order for the school to receive scholarship funds to cover tuition costs:
- For each awarded EdChoice scholarship, I must have an Acceptance Form signed and turned in at the office. Nearly everyone has signed and returned them. If you have not already, please contact me in the school office. Thank you!
- Please follow the LINK to authorize St. Bernard School to deposit funds from the scholarship checks to pay for tuition. The Ohio Department of Education issues scholarship checks on a monthly basis which require this permission to be deposited. Please take care of this immediately if you have not already. Again, most of you took care of this. Thank you!
Please contact me in the school office if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
Yours in Christ,
Kenny Glassmeyer, Office Manager

Please return all blue folders to school each week.
BLUE FOLDER CONTENTS THIS WEEK:
- "Flat" St. Bernard Packet

- Casey's Coupon
Blue folders will go home with the OLDEST student in each family on Wednesdays, as needed, throughout the school year.
