MT's purpose is to educate and empower students to become responsible citizens.
A Few Words From the Principal
Speaking of honor roll, we are quickly approaching the end of our first quarter. Now is a great time to sit down with your student and celebrate their academic success and/or develop a plan to get work done prior to the end of the quarter on Thursday. We do have Timberwolf Success Program Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:05 - 4:30 in the MTMS Media Center. If your student needs some help to get work done, Timberwolf Success Program is a great resource.

Reminders & Information
End of Quarter - October 17
It's hard to believe the first quarter is almost finished! Thursday, October 17th marks the end of the quarter, with each team having different activities and alternate schedules planned. We will finish the day with a whole school pep assembly during WIN - please plan accordingly if you are checking your student out early. And, thank you for reporting absences as soon as possible Friday morning if you plan to take advantage of the extended weekend!
StuCo Dodgeball Tournament
Thursday, October 17 at 3:15 in the MTMS gym
Our school dodgeball tournament is a fundraiser for Kansas Dog Specialty Service, an organization in Washington, Kansas, that trains service dogs. These dogs assist people with visual impairments or physical disabilities. They can also live in facilities like nursing homes to provide comfort for a large population.
If we can raise $1500, our school can name a service dog, follow its placement, and receive updates as it grows. You can help us meet this goal by attending dodgeball, buying concessions, donating to our tip jar, or participating on a team. There is no charge to attend, and parents are welcome to join as spectators. Let's have fun and support these hero dogs!
Veterans Day Recognition
Please click here to share the name of any veteran you would like us to acknowledge and/or a veteran who will be attending.
Good Things at MTMS
Ross Schaffer (8th Grade Explorers - Social Studies) was the recipient of a Spotlight Grant from the USD 232 Education Foundation to create a hands-on learning opportunity in his classroom! Grant proceeds will be used for materials to design battlefield dioramas. We can't wait to see what the students create!
Operation Christmas Sign-Ups

Illness
Please report any symptoms of illness to the school. Please be specific- report symptoms such as sore throat, nausea, fever instead of reporting “ill” or “sick”. Giving symptoms helps with Health Department reporting and to see illness trends in the district.
It is district policy to keep your student home until symptom free/fever free for 24 hours without medication. It will help to prevent the spread of illness.
