Amazing Grace

Dear GCA Families,

Welcome back! As we return from our weather days following Hurricane Helene, we are grateful that the storm passed with minimal impact on our community. During this time, we are reminded that, just like the changing seasons, our challenges are temporary. Psalm 46:1-2 (KJV) offers us comfort: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea." In moments like these, we can find peace in knowing that we are supported by our strong community and our faith. As we embrace the beautiful fall season, we have much to look forward to this October! We’re excited for our first field trip of the year, the release of our first report cards, and our delightful Trunk or Treat event. These experiences will not only strengthen our bonds but also create joyful memories for our children. Let’s celebrate our resilience and look forward to the excitement of the season together.

At Grace Christian Academy, the safety of your child is our utmost concern. In light of recent news and events regarding school violence/safety, we recognize the importance of being proactive in our preparedness measures. As part of our commitment to ensuring a secure environment for our students, we will be conducting a scheduled lockdown drill on October 1, 2024. Please be assured that students will be made aware in advance that this is a drill. There will be no loud noises or scary actions. Our primary goal is to ensure their safety and preparedness of our students and staff. We want to emphasize that this exercise is not intended to cause fear or anxiety. We pray that we never have to experience school violence but we must be prepared. We appreciate your support and understanding as we work together to maintain a safe learning environment for all our students. Thank you for your support and understanding.
