At the start of the school year we spend time learning about school expectations and building our school and class communities. Students have done a fantastic job! Along with school safety, school expectations allow us to focus on teaching and learning. These are things we support throughout the school year. Ask your child how they show EAGLE PRIDE while at school!

Steck Chorus is starting soon! If your 4th or 5th grade student is interested, please check out this information.

Vision/Hearing Screenings

Starting next week, vision and hearing screenings will be conducted at Steck Elementary. These screening tests are mandated by the Illinois Department of Public Health at specific times during a child’s educational experience. All students in KN, and 2nd grade will be screened for vision and hearing. 1st and 3rd grades get screened for hearing. Selected 4th and 5th graders will be screened for vision and hearing. All students with IEP's and 504's will be tested for vision and hearing. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they have them in school with them. If you have any questions, please contact the Steck Health Office at (630) 375-3535.

Calling All Creative Steck Students!

Explore the arts and express yourself in this year’s National Reflections theme “Accepting Imperfection.” All student ages and abilities are welcome to enter and submit their entries in any of the 6 art categories by October 1st.
