News for August 15, 2024
Welcome to RAHS!
Hello and welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Roseville Area High School! Whether you are new to RAHS or a family returning for your senior year - we are excited that you have chosen to be a part of our school community. We had a great summer at RAHS preparing for the school year, having our front plaza construction done, reflecting on the strengths and areas of growth from the 23-24 school year, hosting elementary and middle school music camps, unveiling an amazing mural in our FACS department, and most recently welcoming our athletes back to our beautiful athletic spaces for tryouts and the start of the season.
Please see important dates below, particularly our Open House information. Next week's email will include new changes for the 24-25 school year, specific school goals, and information all families and students will want to know. Here is a sneak peek:
* A homeroom class will happen every Wednesday to ensure we provide building and district level information to all students and work to build more of a sense of community within our student body
* New cell phone policies will take place to both support instructional engagement in classes and recent legislation
Welcome back - thank you for choosing RAHS and choosing Roseville!
All my best,
Principal Dr. Jen Wilson

All students in grades 6-12 are issued an iPad for academic use during this upcoming school year. Please review the 1:1 Family & Student Guide at www.isd623.org/digitallearn by the first week of school and remember to purchase the yearly optional iPad insurance this year through EduTrak (www.isd623.org/payonline).
This past spring, students in grades 7-12 were allowed to keep their district iPads for the summer. Please check that they are in working order and contact your building media tech staff if there are issues. If you stored your iPad at RAHS for the summer, you can pick it up at orientation or on the first day of school in the media center. New to district students can pick up iPads during orientation or in the media center during the first week of school.
If you are leaving/have left the district, please return school iPads/chromebooks to your child’s school (RAHS, RAMS, or PCS) or any Roseville Area School.
Schoology: Students in grades 6-12 have Schoology accounts automatically created for them and they will learn how to use this online classroom with their teachers. A Schoology Parent account is automatically created for parents & guardians who have email addresses in the school’s student information system (ParentVue/Synergy). If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about your Schoology Parent account visit www.isd623.org/familytechresources .

Breakfast Vending machine
We are introducing a new breakfast vending machine, offering students a free reimbursable breakfast between 6:00-10:00 AM. The vending machine is connected to student lunch accounts and provides a variety of healthy options, including parfaits, smoothies, protein boxes, and PB&J sandwiches. This is a convenient way for students to start their day with a free, nutritious meal in an alternative location from the cafeteria. Second meals will be charged to your student account.
