Hello Quantum Families!

We had an amazing first day of school yesterday full of nerves, excitement, and new friendships. It was so good to see everyone meeting their teachers and getting back into the QA groove! Our Week of Welcome is in full swing and we have so much planned for your Quarks!

Family communication is essential to stay up to date on all the happenings here at Quantum and we don’t want you to miss out on anything! Messages from the school come about once a week via email and/or text message or as needed around special events.

The school will provide everything your Quark needs to be successful but we do encourage students to bring a reusable water bottle from home. Breakfast and lunches are provided free of charge to all students. If your student needs a backpack or any school supplies for home, please contact our office or email Family Liaison, Dessy Flores deflores@eusd.org

Students are setting up iPads this week. Please check with your child’s teacher on grade level specific iPad protocols.

There is a Community Food Distribution tomorrow, August 22nd, at Farr Elementary from 3-4:30 pm or until food is gone.

Teachers use Rooms to communicate directly with families regarding class and grade level specific news. All families should have received a message yesterday inviting families to sign up. Please check Rooms daily for updates from teachers. If you are having trouble signing up, please contact our Family Liaison Dessy Flores deflores@eusd.org.

Our 7th graders engage in their first PBL of the year - Quantum Aquatica! On Friday Aug 23rd our grass area turns into a water park and it’s by far the best day of the school year! We recommend swimsuits/rash guards, hats, water shoes, sunscreen, towels, and a change of clothes/shoes since we will be getting wet! Friday is also a Spirit Day - Beach attire! Parents - if you’d like to volunteer on this day or just come to watch, contact our office or email Family Liaison, Dessy Flores deflores@eusd.org. PTA is making this extra special this year by sponsoring ice cream from the cafeteria for all students! Please let me know if you child cannot have this treat.

Save the date for our Back to School Night and PTA Meeting/Community Dinner Wednesday, August 28th. Our PTA meeting and Principal Message is at 4:45pm, Community Dinner is at 5:30pm and Teacher Sessions start at 6:00pm. Our community dinner is open to all and PTA sponsors this event with food and drinks for our Quantum families. Thank you PTA!
