Congratulations to Coach Bennett, Coach Seeders, and our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams!
Both teams received 2nd place at our Cross Country Championship on Thursday, October 10th at Poor House Farm. Congratulations to Fiona Hall for her first place finish and way to go to all who participated and PR’ed throughout the season!
The Week Ahead:
Monday, October 14th - No School Students - Professional Development Day for Staff
Tuesday, October 15th - 2 Hour Delay for Students - student arrival is 9:10 a.m.
Thursday, October 17th - End of the 1st 9 Weeks/Sky Zone Field Trip for select students
Friday, October 18th - Purple Team Mount Vernon Field Trip/Paint Night
October is Breast-Cancer Awareness Month, and we would like to show our support for the survivors and fighters by wearing pink to school on Friday, October 18th.
A Note from Team Purple
Team Purple sent out parent-teacher conference request forms on 10/8. If the teachers requested a conference or you are interested in a conference, the paper needs to be turned in by 10/16. They will only be accepting pre-arranged appointments for conferences.

Family Paint Night - "This Is Halloween"
Please join us for Family Paint Night and some Spooky fun! The form to sign up will be coming soon and will be posted on our HMS website.
When: Oct 18th 5:30 - 7:30pm
Where: Hedgesville Middle Cafe
There is no cost for this activity. Students may bring a family member with them to paint!

Hedgesville Middle School is happy to share that Superintendent Dr. Ryan Saxe will be set up at Parent-Teacher Night (10/23) for his first Listen and Learn Session. This session will give our families the opportunity to meet our new superintendent and listen and learn from each other. Dr. Saxe wants to hear from you what Berkeley County is doing well and where the district could improve. He's looking forward to meeting our families and students and learning more about Berkeley County. He'll have a table set up with information about BCS, opportunities to work within the district and a raffle for a fun BCS prize! Please join Dr. Saxe in listening and learning from each other!
