We are virtual January 11th-15th

The staff at SSS was ready and excited to welcome back students on the 11th, however, due to the increased community spread of COVID-19 we have postponed for another week to ensure we are keeping our students, families, and staff healthy at home.


The state has color-coded each county based on the number of covid cases per 100K people. A county turns red once it hits 25 cases per day per 100K people. When Dr. Barber announced we would be virtual we were at 39.8 and today we are at 53, which is more than double the initial red rating.


We will continue to update you throughout the week and can't thank you enough for your understanding and flexibility during this school year.

Frankfort Independent Families,


Although we are starting our school year virtually, we will still have the opportunity to provide counseling services for both Second Street School and Frankfort High students. Kurt Montooth is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with Deaton and Deaton Counseling. He will be available for in-person (at both schools) or telehealth appointments. Kurt can currently accept the following insurance providers: Passport, Wellcare, Humana Medicaid, Anthem Medicaid, Aetna Medicaid, Anthem BCBS and commercial Humana.
