Message from Superintendent Card
Dear Princeton Community,
This time of year is a time of celebrating our students and staff. We are hitting major milestones and accomplishments as we wrap up the school year, and graduation season is upon us. It has been exciting and an honor for me to participate in the National Honor Society Induction, the Music Signing Day, and the Business Students Porforio Presentation last week, along with the many recognitions and events for sports, art, music, theatre, and academics that have been occurring the past few weeks.
We have also been shining a spotlight on our faculty and staff, recognizing milestone Years of Service. Highlighting our dedicated Viking Family fills me with Princeton Pride!
The Ohio Alliance of Black School Educators recently recognized Dr. Kevin Jamison and junior Isaiah Dudley for their leadership and service. Dr. Jamison was selected as the top finalist for the Leadership Award for his contributions while working with African-American students. Unsurprisingly to us, Dr. Jamison was selected as #1 out of the top educators from seven states that make up the Midwest Region. Congratulations to Dr. Jamison and Isaiah on their outstanding recognitions.
Hamilton County Education Foundation honored the Educators of the Year from the public school districts throughout the county at its annual "Celebrate Excellence" event. It was my absolute pleasure to cheer on Princeton’s candidate, Lindsey Young, as she accepted the well-deserved award. She is a true asset to Princeton and our professional learning community, and we couldn't be more proud of her.
We are excited to be leading the way through leadership, literacy, and learning! It's a great time to be a Viking!
As Always...Go Vikes!

The Princeton High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) proudly welcomed sixty-nine exceptional students into its ranks during the Spring induction ceremony held at Matthews Auditorium. The ceremony recognized scholarship, leadership, service, and character and celebrated the achievements of these students and their commitment to making a positive difference in their community.
Honoring Excellence in Musical Pursuits
On May 2, 2024, Princeton celebrate the sixth Music Department Signing Day. This signing event, a testament to the dedication and talent of our exceptional students, marked a milestone in the lives of Mallory Green, Dwayne (DJ ) Hall, and Avery Walton, who have chosen to pursue their passion for music at the collegiate level.
Mallory Green will study Music Education at Miami University of Ohio. DJ Hall will study music and play tennis at Indiana University Southeast. Avery Walton will study Music Performance at the Miami University of Ohio.
Students of the Week
Sharonville Stacker — Aleeah Donald
Aleeah Donald, 5th grade Sharonville student, will be competing in the 2024 WSSA Great Lakes Regional Sport Stacking Championship down in Louisville, Kentucky on May 18th.

This event is also a qualifier for the 2024 AAU Junior Olympic Games where those that qualify will have an opportunity to represent our country in the upcoming Junior Olympics.
If you see Aleeah around in the halls at Sharonville Elementary, please congratulate her and wish her the best of luck!
Louis Armstrong Jazz Award — Ryan Benjamin
The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award® was inaugurated in 1974 with the consent of his widow shortly after this great jazz artist died in 1971. It honors the outstanding jazz musician at each high school.
NJROTC Outstanding Cadet - Addyson Sowders
Cadet Addyson Sowders was recognized at the 2024 Cincinnati Chapter Enhanced JROTC Outstanding Cadet by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
She was also awarded the Bronze R.O.T.C. Medal by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution in recognition of outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing and excellence, thus exemplifying the high ideals and principles which motivated and sustained our patriot ancestors. The Secretary of the Cincinnati SAR Chapter, Robert Bowers came to present the awards.
Mark Riesenberg, Post Commander of American Legion Post 681, presented Cadet Sowders with The American Legion Scholastic Excellence Medal in recognition of her outstanding attributes this year.

Arts & Soul Award — Brady Lewis
Brady, a Princeton senior, was one of the leads in this year’s Spring Musical, “The Snow Queen,” and was also in the cast of “Cinderella” in 2023.
A Violinist for the Symphonic Orchestra, Brady is also a member of the Princeton Thespian Society, National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and French Honor Society. He was also on the Cross-Country team and the Academic Quiz Team.
Brady shares his artistic talents behind the scenes as part of the production crew of the district’s television show, “Viking Voices: The People of Princeton.”
Art & Soul Award — Rian Woods
Rian, a Princeton senior, is the epitome of Art & Soul for the Princeton Vikings. He’s often the guy on the sidelines, behind the camera lens, toting the filming equipment, even in the rain, to capture the special moments at the football, soccer, and boys’ and girls’ basketball games. Rian artfully creates reels, videos, and photographs that highlight his classmates and our Viking teams. He’s Captain of the PHS boys volleyball team and loves to play basketball in his spare time.
Rian uses his art and skills to make others shine! Thanks to everyone who voted to make him the Cincinnati Enquirer's Art & Soul Student of the Week! He won by a landslide!
Academic Excellence Award — Brooke Barry
Brooke Barry is part of the Top 20 in the Princeton High School Class of 2024, with a GPA of 4.35. Her class load comprises a schedule of International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Brooke has been a member of the Princeton Orchestra Program for seven years. She balances her heavy course load while also being a Captain of the Princeton Lacrosse Team.
Brooke was recently awarded The Distinction Morrill Scholarship (a full ride) to The Ohio State University, where she plans to study Biomedical Engineering. Out of over 6,000 applicants, only 100 are invited to interview, with only 25 awarded the Distinction Scholarship. Brooke is empowered for college, career, and life success!
