Welcome Back Explorer Families

Open House Days for Explorer Academy

We are excited to welcome our families to Explorer Academy for Open House Days on August 27th, 28th, and 29th! During one of these days, you and your student will have the opportunity to meet with your advisor, check out materials, and sign important paperwork.

Please note that your advisor may have arranged a different day and time for your meeting, so be sure to confirm with them. Watch for important communication from your student's advisor on Parent Square around August 22nd.

Remember, your student cannot start their online classes until all paperwork has been signed.

* In-person classes do not start until September 5th & 6th.

August 27th, 28th, 29th - Open Houses/ student enrollments

August 30th & September 2nd - No School - Labor Day

September 5th & 6th - On-Campus Classes Start (Math and Bridge classes)

September 9th - 10th - Advisory Starts - Attendance required - see advisor for assigned day/time

September 12th - Parent Night @ 6:00pm in Room 1

Oct 7th - Picture Day - 8:00am - 1:00pm - Held inside the office

October 11th - 1/2 day for students

October 14th - No school for students

November 11th - No School

November 27th - 1/2 day for students

November 28th & 29th - No School - Thanksgiving Break

December 20th- 1/2 Day for students

December 23rd - January 3rd - Winter Break

Reminder: Important Forms to Complete Before the School Year Begins

Before the new school year starts, please log into your Skyward Family Access and complete all required forms for each of your students. Remember, health forms must be filled out annually, along with the annual acknowledgment. This year, there's also a new Family Benefit form that everyone needs to complete. This form is essential for qualifying for free and reduced meals, among other benefits. Please go to https://www.skschools.org/departments/food-and-nutrition-services or if you need a paper copy come visit us in the office.

Do you need a backpack?

We are excited to share that we have 15 new backpacks with various designs available for our students! If your student is in need of a backpack or notebooks, please don't hesitate to reach out to Michele at williamsm@skschools.org.
