Submit Annual Award Nominations
The annual awards banquet will be on January 12 at 5:30 pm at the Wilmont VFW. Please take a look at the award applications and submit your nominations. All award nominations are due on December 2 at 7:00 am.
Annual Nobles County 4-H Impact Report
At the end of each 4-H year, an impact report is prepared to share with program stakeholders. The impact report is available for your review. Reach out to 4-H Staff if you have any questions.
Fundraising Committee Meeting
The fundraising committee will meet on Thursday, November 14 at 5:30 pm at the Farmers Room. This will be a time to discuss fundraising ideas for the new 4-H year. If you have new ideas for fundraisers, please plan to attend this meeting.
Officer Training
All club and Federation officers should plan to attend virtual Officer Training on Sunday, November 17 and Tuesday, November 19. The zoom training will be led by youth leaders and teach skills about club activities and officer roles. Registration is available in 4-H Online: https://24SWMNOfficerTraining.4honline.com.
Serve on Nobles County 4-H Committees
Please review the available committees and sign up to support county-wide projects. All youth and adult volunteers are encouraged to join committees. A brief description and the anticipated number of yearly meetings are included on the sign-up sheet.
Upcoming Offices Closed Dates
The county government center is closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Extension Staff will be working remotely; please reach out via email with questions.
The Extension Office will be closed on Thursday, November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
November Ambassador Gathering
The youth ambassadors will meet on November 10 at 6:30 pm in the Farmers Room. Please join the GroupMe chat for more information. All youth in grades 6-13 are invited to ambassadors.
Re-Enroll in Nobles County 4-H
Thank you for your involvement in Minnesota 4-H! In order to remain enrolled, you will need to show your family’s intent to participate by logging in to 4-H Online and reviewing, updating and submitting the following information:
Your family's contact and demographic information, including club, school and grade.
Each family member's health and emergency contact information.
Project areas of interest for this coming year.
Parental consent required for youth participating in shooting sports/wildlife programs.
You can log in to 4-H Online here to complete the re-enrollment process. This guide has more information.
County 4-H Scholarship for College-Bound Youth
All youth in grade 12 or their first year of college are invited to apply for the county 4-H scholarship. Complete the application and letters of recommendation; submit by November 14 via email to Wendy.

SE Region Photography Day Camp
Join us at the SE Region Photography Day Camp! Learn about different types of photography, what makes a good photo, how to excel at 4-H photography judging, and get some practice taking pictures. All experience levels are welcome! Bring your own camera/phone if you have one. If not, cameras will be provided. ALL youth in grades 3+ are welcome to attend this FREE event at The Grand in New Ulm (210 North Minnesota St. New Ulm, MN 56073). Register in 4-HOnline by December 5th. Seed to showcase: Preparing your agronomy project for the county fair

Super Sitters Virtual Clinic
We are excited to bring you our super sitters clinic series virtually this winter. Our goal is for you to walk away with the knowledge to be a super sitter hero! Sessions will be held from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 18, 19, 25 and 26 and Dec 2 and 3. Register in 4-H Online by November 13.
Attend National 4-H Conference - April 11 - 16, 2025
Deemed "the secretary’s conference," this conference is the flagship youth development opportunity of the USDA. Today, the conference remains true to its original intent to develop the next generation of leaders while continuing to be future-focused. The conference brings together youth, volunteer leaders, county and state Extension staff, land-grant university faculty and administrators, as well as state and federal government officials from across the United States and its territories. During the conference, delegates will become familiar with the government and future career opportunities, and share their voice with federal agencies and congressional committees. Promotional video
Attend Ignite by 4-H - March 12 - 16, 2025
Ignite includes four days of inspiring speakers, workshop sessions, activities, and entertainment. The summit will provide high-school-aged youth from across the country the opportunity to explore the best 4-H has to offer in Agriscience, Community Accelerators*, Healthy Living, or STEM. Participants will discover exciting career paths, make connections, and create an action plan to ignite change in their community. Promotional video.
Training for New Club Leaders
Join us for the New Club Leader webinar to learn more about the role of a 4-H Club leader, and be equipped with resources and techniques to develop your 4-H club. This 75-minute online training is open to Minnesota 4-H volunteers, potential volunteers, and youth leaders as part of our statewide volunteer development webinar program. While the content is geared toward new club leaders, anyone providing leadership and support to a 4-H members' experience will benefit from the material.
