Priority Deadline December 19, 2024
🚨REMINDER: The priority deadline is almost here!
Students who submit an application by 4 PM on December 19, 2024, will be considered for the lottery. Applications after this deadline will be considered once the priority applicant list has been exhausted and in the order of submission. Students who have expressed interest in Tech but have not applied yet should do so right away.
Final Application Deadline: March 13, 2025, 12 PM
Final Prep for the Next Phase
✅ As we get ready for the lottery, our goal is to include as many eligible applications as possible and hope your teams can assist us in a quick check of progress on students who were in jeopardy of missing credits.
On December 12, if you have students who are on Credit Hold, your admissions representative will send an email containing a link to a checklist. Please assess each student on your list to see if they are on track to earn the required credits by the end of this semester, then complete the requested information by Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Admissions Requirements By Program
Phase 2 Overview
After the winter break, Tech will begin the second phase of the new admissions process.
🗓️ Timeline of next steps 🗓️
- January 15: all eligible applications will be entered into a randomized lottery selection process, all applications that are chosen during the lottery will be fully vetted for admission to Tech
- Week of January 20: You will begin receiving a weekly update from your admissions representative listing your lottery-selected students and requesting the required documents to be uploaded into the portal. This weekly notification will be updated as documents are received and reviewed.
📝Please note: Lottery selection does not indicate acceptance to Tech. It means the application has moved to the next step in the application process. - January 27: Waitlist notifications will be sent to remaining applicants
- March 6: Acceptance notifications will begin being sent to students and families
- March 20: Deadline to submit required documents into EnrollTrack, reviews for attendance and/or discipline concerns will be ongoing during this time.
📝Please note - if a student's documents are not received by this date, they will lose their lottery consideration spot and move to the end of the waitlist.
Two sessions for our partners will be held to answer your questions. Please join us!
If you cannot join a session but have questions or concerns, please reach out to Valerie Wilson at vwilson@ssdmo.org.
Attendance/Special Populations Form
Part of the updated admissions process allows students with attendance percentages below 90% to share explanations for their absences. Students whose attendance is below 90% will receive an email with two Google forms:
1. Attendance Verification Form – i.e. absences due to religious observances, bereavement, medical conditions, etc.
2. Special Populations Form – i.e., Students in foster care, with a disability, etc.
You will be sent a list of all students in your care who receive this email.
Students will have 5 calendar days from the date of receipt to complete the forms. In the event your student submits the form, Tech will email you a request for verification. Verification will be made via a Google form (attendance verification form) or fillable PDF (special populations form) to be completed by each student’s principal or assistant principal. Your students' attendance verification forms will be sent and updated weekly as documents are received and reviewed.
Appeals
Applicants who are notified that it is "Not the Right Time" for Tech have the opportunity to appeal. Students and families will receive information about the appeal process via email and postal mail. A form will be included in these communications that must be completed within 7 calendar days of receipt. If the form is not completed within the 7 calendar days, the student's application will remain "Not the Right Time".
If one of your students submits an appeal, Tech will email you and the student's principal or assistant principal requesting information.
📝Please Note: An appeal allows new and compelling information/data to be considered. An appeal is not a guarantee of Tech acceptance or application promotion.
EnrollTrack Status Guide Update
