Notes from the Family Ambassador
Thank you to our families who joined us at our first Bingo night of the year. I saw lots of smiling faces and families having a great time together. Thank you to our PTA for putting on an awesome night for our Gables community to enjoy. We are lucky to have these parents enriching the lives of all students at Gables; not every school in the district has such a robust and active PTA. If you are looking for a way to get involved PTA is the perfect avenue. They are currently looking for family volunteers to help with the mum flower sale deliveries on Friday. If you have an hour of time to help between 12pm and 6pm, all hands are greatly appreciated. Also, signups are now open for the upcoming book nook and Gables Annual Walkathon on October 11th!
Next week the Panorama Survey will begin for Columbus City Schools. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to give feedback about how they are feeling and perceiving the academics and environment is at Gables Elementary. Please be on the lookout for more information.
We love to learn. Go get'em Gators!

STAFF CORNER
Parent Request- Extra Clothes for Kindergarten to Second Grade
Hello K-2 Gables Families.
To make sure that your child feels comfortable throughout the day, we kindly ask that you begin to pack an extra set of clothes in their backpack, just in case of any unexpected accidents. We find we especially need a set of pants and underwear included. Having a change of clothes on hand will help us keep your child feeling confident and at ease. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
While we do have some clothes at the school for emergencies we are lacking in the smaller sizes at the moment. If you would like to make a donation to the clothes closet, we are in need of boys and girls' underwear and pants in smaller sizes.
