Daniel Wright Junior High School
Leaders in Learning Application
Dear Families of Seventh-Graders,
Seventh-grade students are invited to apply to be a member of the Leaders in Learning organization for the 2023-2024 school year. They would serve during their eighth-grade school year. The purpose of this organization will be to develop leaders who have a desire to serve and improve their community. Leaders in Learning representatives act as peer mentors in Social Emotional Learning Advisory lessons. They also plan programs and events to improve our local and global communities. Each year of Leaders in Learning is different from the previous year because of what the new members make it.
In order for students to be considered, they need to use their school Google account to complete the Leaders in Learning application and write the essay mentioned on the second page of the application. Seventh-grade teachers will use Wright Way Skill grades to evaluate students. The club sponsor will review applications, student essays, faculty evaluations, and other relevant information to determine those who fully meet the selection criteria for membership.
If your student is already a leader at Daniel Wright or wants to become one, please have them consider applying for Leaders in Learning. They can develop the skills they already possess and make a difference in the world!
Completed applications must be turned in to Mrs. Vincent in room 211 no later than 3:45 p.m. on Friday, May 5. All selected students will be notified of membership status in writing. Questions? Please reach out to Mrs. Erinn Vincent at evincent@d103.org.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Erinn Vincent
