Dear Families,

It was a wonderful first week at Neihardt! Teachers worked on building strong classroom communities and we practiced our expectations throughout the building. This year students can earn a Castle Coin when they're caught demonstrating respectful, responsible or kind behavior. At the end of the month they'll have the opportunity to use their coins at our school store, The Shield Shop. We are excited for this new positive reinforcement system for students!

I have one quick reminder about arrival and dismissal. Staff will be outside at grade level doors from 8:15-8:30. If your student arrives after 8:30 they'll need to be dropped off at the front door. At dismissal, staff will remain outside with students until 3:43. At that time they will bring students back to the front office area and you'll need to pick them up in the front.

Deposits to your student's lunch account can be made several ways.

1. Lunch account deposits can be made using a debit or credit card through myschoolbucks.com. (If you enrolled at myschoolbucks.com last year, you do not have to re-enroll.) A student ID number is required to create a new account. Call the office for your student ID number if you would like to enroll.

2. Deposits can be made by cash or check in the school office anytime. Cash should be placed in a sealed envelope with your child’s full name and teacher’s name on it.

Distribution will last until supplies have been exhausted.
Distribution is open to all students in the Omaha area.

Proof of school enrollment is required for each child to receive a backpack.
