Superintendent Message
Spring is in full swing, and with it comes exciting achievements and new opportunities for our students! I am thrilled to share that several of our talented students recently received awards at the Frisco League Art Contest. Their hard work and creativity continue to make our district proud. Congratulations to all participants and winners!
Unfortunately, the recent storms on March 14 caused minor damage to the high school building. We are grateful that no one was injured, and our maintenance team has been working diligently to address repairs and ensure a safe learning environment for everyone.
As the weather warms up, our spring sports are kicking into high gear. Our track, baseball, and girls’ soccer teams have been practicing and competing, showing great dedication and sportsmanship. We encourage our community to come out and support our student-athletes as they represent Richland with pride!
With the final months of the school year upon us, we encourage all students to maintain strong attendance. Every school day is an opportunity for learning and growth, and finishing the year strong will set our students up for success.
Thank you for your continued support of the Richland R-IV School District. Let’s make the most of this spring season together!

They will have speakers, vendors and skits to showcase interviewing skills. Registration deadline was set for April 1st.
State Testing: As we get ready for state testing, we want to share some information about how these assessments impact our students receiving special education services.
Your child’s IEP team has carefully considered the accommodations needed for him or her to be successful during class every day, as well as, during MAP testing. Staff will review the finalized IEP to ensure all agreed upon accommodations are provided during testing. If you have any questions about testing or the supports in place for your child, please reach out to your child’s special education teacher.

We have several home baseball games the month of April, come out and cheer on the RHS baseball team. The HS girls soccer team will play against Battle High School on April 14 at 5:00 at Laquey High School. They will be hosting the Red Card Cancer game and Youth League Appreciation night. Class Scheduling and ICAPS progress
We will soon begin the process of scheduling classes for the upcoming school year. We encourage students to come prepared with questions and ideas about the classes they would like to take. Lastly, we are finishing up the ICAPS (Individualized College and Career Plans) for students. These personalized plans are a crucial tool for helping students stay on track with their post-graduation goals, and we’re excited to see them wrap up this important process.

Student Council officers recently attended the state convention, where they gathered valuable new ideas and strategies to bring back to our school to help make it even better. We are excited to announce that officer interviews will be taking place soon, giving students the opportunity to step into leadership roles. Additionally, member sign-ups will be available outside Ms. Kenna’s classroom door for anyone interested in joining and making a difference in our school community. We encourage all students to get involved and contribute their ideas!
