Hello Duval Community!

Just a two-day week ahead.

As part of the month of Gratitude, our Readcycle event is tomorrow, MONDAY, this week. See the flyer below for more details! Students who brought in a couple books or more can swap out two books at the wonderful display of books set up in the lobby. Everyone else may choose one book from the display. Many thanks to the Theme Team for making this happen!

A reminder about the the Raise Right gift card fundraiser: If order forms are in by Monday at 7, they will be submitted in round one.

1- While we have let this go for a while, it's time for more safety. Students arriving early in the mornings may not come into the playground area until 8:55am. The Y staff must focus on their students.

2- Students may NOT return to school on regular days until AFTER 3:30pm. There's enough going on that kids biking back before dismissal's over is just not the safest we can be.

3- We have stopped any early dismissals after 3:10pm. If folks arrive at 3:10 or later, students will be called to come to the office when the bell rings at 3:15pm.

Our Lost and Found still has many sweatshirts and jackets! We will be donating everything before December break! We also really need some more hangers! Thanks for sending a few in!

Please put names on EVERYTHING! It's the best way for us to get things back to you.

Hello Dolphins!

We are once again partnering with the Raise Right program to offer gift card sales for the holiday season. For those of you who buy gift cards, this program donates a portion of the sales directly back to Duval, while still giving you the full value at no extra cost. Please see the flyers below for more information.

The beginning of December will also mark our annual Food Drive to benefit the Whitman Food Pantry. Requests will be coming via classrooms soon. Sharing with the community around us is one of the most valuable lessons we learn at Duval.

Finally, our students will soon get the chance to show their appreciation for their friends and family at our Holiday Shop. From December 16th-20th, they will be able to purchase small gifts for those they care for right at school. Each item is $1, to help keep their spending reasonable, but still meaningful. Keep your eyes posted for more on that coming soon.
