Physical Education
Mrs. Glowacki
Welcome Addams & Upton El. Families!
A little bit about Mrs. Glowacki...
This is my fourth year at Royal Oak Schools and my seventh year teaching overall. I teach at both Addams and Upton Elementary as a physical education teacher, and I coach varsity softball at the high school. A few of my favorite hobbies outside of school include running, golfing, playing cornhole and pickleball, exploring coffee shops, and skiing any chance I get!
My Mission
During the time I get to spend with your child I hope to empower them with skills and knowledge that will lead them to be life long learners and movers. My goal is to bring a balance of physical fitness work, sportsmanship and FUN throughout the year ensuring no student feels left behind. I encourage you to check in with your students each week to find out more on all of the great things we are accomplishing in Physical Education.
The best part of my job is getting to spend time with YOUR kiddos.
Performance Standards

Shoe Reminder!
My #1 job is to keep YOUR child safe... please help me do this by sending your student to school with the proper footwear on Gym days. Sandals, Crocs, heels, and winter boots are shoes that will NOT be accepted as proper footwear. If your child needs to pack a pair of shoes, myself or classroom teachers will ensure they are given time to change footwear for PE. Thank you!
Junior Olympics & Field Day
Many of you are curious about Junior Olympics and Field Day events that happen at the end of the school year, so I wanted to include some details about those events!
- Junior Olympics is for students in grades 3rd-5th Grade only, students are able to qualify for specific events based on their fitness testing scores. The Tug-O-War event is for 5th Grade students, each 5th grader who is not participating in an event is put in a random draw to be selected. Students can only participate in ONE event. Selected students will compete against other Royal Oak elementary students at the High School Stadium in June. To see list of JR. Olympic events click here!
- Field Day is for ALL students! Towards the end of the school year each building will host a field day that involves tons of fun activities for the students. These days will take place during the school day, parents are able to volunteer to help out or come and watch as a spectator. When this day approaches and dates get set for Field Day communication will be sent home to families.
