Winter Break- December 23-January 1
SPOTLIGHT: Thank You
- To all of our parents who were/are able to come to Parent/Teacher conferences. We appreciate your partnership in learning.
- To the parent volunteers who help us daily. And, to the parents who make donations of time, treats, and greetings to remind us that we make a difference.
- To all of our staff, who take great pride in working with Beall students.
- To our students, who allow us the privilege of working with them every day. We hope you had a wonderful holiday break.
With Appreciation...
We recognize that many families wish to share their appreciation with staff by giving holiday gifts. Although Beall staff members do not expect to receive gifts, we are extremely appreciative of the holiday wishes. MCPS policy prohibits staff from accepting gifts from individuals that are greater than twenty (20) dollars in value or more than one hundred dollars cumulatively in a calendar year. This value limit is per individual and does not reflect groupβs collective efforts. Please contact school administrators if you need clarification.
Grandparents/Special Guest Day- January 17, 2025
We are very excited to be hosting Grandparents/Special Guest Day on Friday, January 17. We are asking all guests attending Grandparents/Special Guest Day to have tickets to the event. Coffee and donuts will be available starting at 9:05 am. Guests will be allowed to visit their favorite Beall student beginning around 9:20 am. The event will conclude at 11:00 am. The event will be "open house" style. The purpose of this event is to allow our students to share a school day experience with an adult (other than parents/guardian) who plays an important role in our students' lives. We want our students to see that their world is connected to adults and communities beyond our doors and from other generations. We ask that parents respect the intent of this event. Due to limited space, we ask that students have no more than 2 grandparents/special guests visit us for this occasion. Younger siblings will not be allowed into classrooms. Guests will need to register for this event. Registration information will be shared after Winter Break.

Dressing for the Weather
Brrrrβ¦.Tis the Season!
Please be sure children dress appropriately for the weather. Consider layering clothes as the temperature may vary from room to room. Children will have outdoor recess unless the temperature is extremely frigid. As the weather begins to turn cooler, students often shed their warm jackets, gloves, and sweatshirts during recess. As a result, our Lost & Found grows throughout the winter months. We encourage you to label everything.
Clothes Donations Welcome!
Health Room staff welcome donations of clothes that your child may have outgrown that would fit a school-aged student. We appreciate pants, sweatpants, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts or sweatshirts, socks or even new packages of underwear for boys and girls.

It is not too late to join the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA supports Beall students in a variety of ways, including after -school programs, cultural arts programs, social activities, fundraising and parent workshops. The PTA also supports student learning by funding programs, technology and staff support. See their website for more information or registration forms.
