2024 National Honor Society Inductions
On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the National Honor Society (NHS) held their induction ceremony for 29 Biglerville High School students. These student leaders have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Parent~Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, November 25, from 5:00 PM to 7:15 PM and Tuesday, November 26, from 12:00 PM to 7:15 PM. Conference meeting times will be available in 15-minute sessions. Scheduling will be online beginning on Monday, November 11th. To access scheduling instructions, simply click on the letter.
ACADEMICS
Capital Area Math Competition
Andon Wolfe, Giuliano Fazzolari, Kyle Hansen, Sam Dick and Austin Woltz participated in the Capital Area Math Competition at Dickinson College on October 22nd. The competition consisted of 2, 45-minute individual tests and a 60 minute team test all of which were no calculator. Below are some pictures and a sample problem our students had to tackle:)
Ms Sefcheck's Driver Education Classes
Technicians, Ben Hamm and Becca Swope, from Gene Latta Ford in Hanover visited our Driver Education classes this week to discuss proper car care maintenance. They also brought a Mustang Mach E Electric car for our students to learn about and tour. Their expertise was much appreciated and our students had a blast with this hands-on experience. Thank you Dr. Heather Swope for helping us organize and prep for the occasion. We look forward to having Ben and Becca back in Spring!
2024 FFA National Convention
16 students from Biglerville High School traveled with New Oxford and Fairfield to the FFA National Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana. They traveled October 21-25th. They visited the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch, Louisville Slugger Museum, Kentucky Derby Museum, FFA Shopping Mall, FFA Career Fair, the first opening session of the FFA National Convention, Fair Oaks Farms, RDM Aquaculture (shrimp farm), and Wright - Patterson Airforce Base. A good time was had by all.
FFA Students
- The FFA boys for taking the top 3 spots in the Adams-Franklin-York Tractor Driving competition! Caden Kessel placed first. Conner Smith placed second. Jackson Hilbert placed third
- Elyse Mead for placing first in Adams County in the Veterinarian Skills competition this past week
- JC Schulteis for actually organizing, providing the materials and running the AFY Apple Judging contest for over 50 fellow FFA members. JC has won the past two years and actually went through the process required to make this a state wide competition
- Jack Shannon for placing fourth in Agronomy

The Leo Club welcomes its new members. The next meeting for the Leo Club is scheduled for Monday, December 9th, from 2:45 to 3:15 PM in the Learning Commons after school. We warmly welcome any new or prospective members to join us.

- Congrats to the cast, crew and singers of last weekend's Wacky Horror Cyber Show! Your hard work, time and effort paid off to make this show a success!
- A big shoutout to Gavin Redden ... for loving the Book Fair just as much as the librarian does!
- I would like to shoutout Danielle McCarney for all of her kindness and support!
- Shout out to.....Tammy Rentzel, Jarred Strine, Melissa McLean, Chelsey Holt (MS), and Becca Sayres (ES) for supporting the district last Monday for our EBR visit with LIU12! Thank you!
- Shoutout to Dr. Swope for connecting our Driver Ed students with Ben and Becca from Gene Latta Ford in Hanover. Ben and Becca talked to our students about basic car maintenance and care as well as showing us around a Ford Mustang Mach-E Electric car. Thank you so much Dr. Swope!
- Thank you to Ms. Nicole Starner and everyone who organized the book fair. It was a big hit
