A Message from Principal Horn
The Power of Community
Recently, I attended one of our VIP events, and the topic of the student training was trust. We had a lot of fun but also learned what it looks like to develop self-trust and trust in others. Vulnerability was a subject we also discussed as it relates to developing trust with others. During the training, I was struck with awe and inspiration by the amount of trust students displayed! It made me reflect on the power of community and the role it can play in our lives. Our community can be a source of strength, learning, and support during life's triumphs and tribulations. They can share in our highest moments and our deepest heartaches. As I observed students leaning on one another and developing trust in themselves and others, I witnessed the power of this community and how they showed up for one another and helped each other grow. I genuinely believe this is one of the secret powers of HHSO. With our students, we have a community built on mutual trust and respect. Our staff want to be here for our students to help them succeed in their academics and plan for their goals beyond high school. Our community is strong because of everyone who participates in it! Thank you for being a part of this community. We enjoy being a part of this community with you and being a part of your journey! Look for your community in whatever phase of life you are in! They will be your sense of strength and inspiration as you navigate through all of life’s highs and lows.
