Please take a moment to share your thoughts on our District 47 communications. Your input helps us improve how we keep you informed. This survey is anonymous and does not collect email addresses.
Class Placements for 2024-2025 School Year
We are at the point in the school year when class placements for the next school year are being decided. Class placements are based on many criteria including teacher and administrator feedback. If you would like, please provide us with any comments or information necessary for your child’s learning needs. While we welcome that information please do not send requests for specific teachers. The final placement is at the discretion of the administrators. Please send any emails regarding your student's learning needs to Mrs. Compere accompere@d47.org by May 30th.
Summer Office Hours
The office will be open through Monday, June 3. Office hours are 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
We will be closed for summer break and will reopen in August.
Please contact our district office at 815.788.5000 if you need assistance during the summer break.
Notes From The Nurse - Medications in the Health Office
ALL medications must be picked up by noon on Wednesday May 29th. Any medications not picked up by this time will be discarded. A new medication authorization form must be provided at the start of the school year in August for any medications that will be left in the health office throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
August Locker Set-Up Info
Who: Parents and Students
What: Bring school supplies and items to set up lockers (Please note - No tape may be used on lockers)
When: Friday, 8/16: 10 AM-2 PM (all grade levels) and Saturday, 8/17: 8 AM-11 AM (all grade levels)
Please note: locker set up ends at the stated end times and families will need to exit the building at that time.
If you are not able to attend Locker Set-Up the week before school starts, not to worry! We suggest that students bring only what they can comfortably carry in their backpack on the first day and then bring the rest over the course of the week. For the first day, folders, notebooks, and pens/pencils should be all that is needed. Staff members will be on hand as students arrive on the first day to help direct them to their Period 1 classroom. ALL students will receive a copy of their schedule and their locker number/combination in their Homeroom (1st Period) class on the first day of attendance, Wednesday 8/21. Students will be given lots of time to find their classrooms and practice opening their lockers.
