Dear Pennsbury School Community,
I am writing to provide you with an update regarding the Pennsbury High School project. The Pennsbury Board of Directors recently selected KCBA to design the new Pennsbury High School. You can watch the KCBA concept presentation here.
What happens next?
With the architect selected, the design process starts. Multiple meetings will be held for community members, students, and staff to provide input on the final design. We are planning about twelve community design meetings covering various topics that will take place over the next six months. Dates and locations will be shared once they are confirmed.
The first community design meeting will take place on May 15, 2024.
Location: East Cafeteria
Time: 6:00pm (The meeting will last approximately 90 minutes)
Topic: Meet the Architect and initial design discussions
What else is happening related to the high school project?
On Thursday, May 9 at 7:30pm in the Fallsington Auditorium, the Board of Directors will interview potential construction Management Firms who will oversee the high school project. This is a public meeting, open to all, and will be recorded. We anticipate the Board will select a firm at their May 16 meeting.
How long will the project take?
The following tentative project timeline has been developed: PHS Project timeline
As I have shared before, we are committed to providing regular updates regarding this exciting project. Please take the opportunity to follow along or join us at one of the design meetings as we embark on this exciting journey for our community.
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Smith, Ed.D.
