Hawthorn Food Pantry Cleanup- As our food pantry continues to grow and serve more families, we made some changes to enhance its functionality. Our amazing maintenance crew installed new shelving to create additional space, and with the help of Vernon Hills High School National Honor Society students we moved and organized the pantry for better accessibility.

Hawthorn Coat Drive- In partnership with the Knights of Columbus (St. Mary of Vernon), we are hosting a coat drive to provide new winter coats for students in need. Your support can make a real difference: sponsor a coat for just $25 or a case of 12 coats for $305. To contribute, make a monetary donation and note "Coat(s)" in the comments. Thank you for helping keep our students warm this winter!

• Mundelein Farmers Market- We wrapped up our summer events with a fantastic finale at Mundelein Farmers Market, celebrating Fiesta en el Mercado for Hispanic Heritage Month and Art on Park. We're already excited for next year!

Will be open to all our families on October 23 from 4-6 PM at Middle North School (201 Hawthorn Parkway). If you would like to donate, items can be dropped off at the District Office or Middle North School. Thank you for your support!

Volunteering at Hawthorn District 73 is a rewarding way to support learning, social development, and emotional growth. By helping in various activities like reading with students, assisting in PE classes, or joining field trips, you can build strong connections between home, school, and the community. Interested?
