MCS Fun Run
All of the funds collected will go to the MCS Parent Action Team. If students are able to raise $2018, Mr. B will dress us as a princess riding a unicorn and will sing a song for our students!

Requirements of the job include development, implementation, review, and updating of our local wellness policy, as needed, over the year. Our first meeting will be held on Friday, October 5 at 12:30pm.
Box Tops
Safer Routes to School
The Parent Champion will hand out incentives to participates, direct volunteers, submit a short report of how the event went, and be responsible for setting up and cleaning up a table for the event. Our events take place in the morning before school from 7:40 until the bell rings. Parent Champions are welcome to have their children accompany them to the event.
Our event dates are: International Walk to School Day Wednesday October 10th, Polar Walk Wednesday February 6th, and National Bike to School Day Wednesday May 8th. The Parent Champion will also be invited to be a Safe Routes to School stakeholder and able to provide their input and concerns about important safety issues facing all Moscow children. This position is unpaid but does include post-event coffee dates and a free lunch at the Stakeholder meeting.
Last call for "Climate Cats"
The deadline to enroll in "Climate Cats" is Wednesday October 3rd. They are needing to line-up speakers and are needing to know in advance how many will be joining.
Meeting times: October 18th, November 15th and December 20th from 3-3:45 pm
Location: Great Room in the main building
Goals:
- To create environmental citizens
- To provide fun activities that might help mitigate climate change
- To create a meaningful dialogue about biodiversity
- To connect students with members of the community (local scientists, filmmakers, etc.)
- To help students take ownership of their roles in climate change
