Teacher Appreciation Week is this week, May 5th-9th. 🎉 It is a time for students, parents, and communities to come together and express their appreciation for educators' patience, dedication, and selfless hard work. This week, let your teacher know how truly loved and appreciated they are by writing them a heartfelt note or card, or by simply telling them "thank you!"

To better serve our community, we're conducting a brief Communications Satisfaction Survey. Your feedback will help us improve how we share important information with families.

The survey takes just 5-7 minutes to complete and can be accessed at the link below until May 7, 2025. All responses are confidential and will be used solely to enhance our communication practices.

Join us Friday, May 9th at 9:00am in the GVMS Library (and via Zoom) for the third and final GVMS PTO General Membership Meeting of the 2024-2025 School Year - learn about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities! This is our Annual Meeting when GVMS PTO Board elections occur. The meeting agenda and slate of officers to be elected are now available on the GVMS PTO website.

High School Arts Night is May 15th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the High School. In addition to the amazing high school artwork and music performances, there will also be artwork from the Middle School and all of the elementary schools on display. Please stop in to support our thriving artistic community!

The last day of school will be Friday, June 13th and will be a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:00am.

On April 24th, the Great Valley Envirothon team had a great day at Hibernia County park in the sunshine. We competed against 23 middle school teams from around the county in topics such as forestry, aquatics, wildlife, soil science and a current environmental issue. Teams consisted of 8th graders Danny Mys, River Leaman, Neil Vadhiya: 7th graders Reuel Thota, Theodore Sazheniuki, Lya Haas, Aishani Dhama, and Hrishita Ajith. Our Great Valley A team placed 5th out of 23 teams.

Congratulations to our 8th grade team who placed 23rd out of 38 schools. The 7th grade team placed 8th out of 23 schools, 4th place in the region, and Vrishank Cherukuri tied for 1st place in the region. How exciting! A wonderful showing for Great Valley and thank you to all of the students who participated in the 2025 Math League Competition!
