FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
I am writing this afternoon with sad news to share as Fr. Dennis Kieton, who has been serving as Priest in Residence here at Saints John and Paul for the past two years, passed away today after a brief illness. Fr. Kieton was a beloved priest at the parish, with his homilies often filled with his own unique brand of humor and always concluding with a boisterous "Amen!" Indeed, it was hard to have any conversation with Fr. Kieton and not walk away smiling at some joke or comment he had made.
Members of the community are invited to calling hours this Wednesday, November 20th from 4pm-7pm at Saints John and Paul Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 21st at 11am. Arrangements are through J.J. Duffy Funeral Home in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Please join me and the entire school and church community in praying for Fr. Kieton and all those affected by his passing.

Turkey Day Camp - Coming this November!
Parents, on the day before Thanksgiving are you working? Cooking? Cleaning? Maybe you just want to get the house ready for guests?
Let us help! Children in Pre-K and Kindergarten can enjoy a day of everything turkey at our Turkey Day Camp on Wednesday, November 27th from 8:00am-3:30pm. The day will feature story time, a craft, outdoor play, songs, games and learning stations that are all related to the themes of Thanksgiving and turkeys.
Children will need to bring a snack, lunch, and a refillable water bottle.
The cost for the day is $75. Please note, there will not be a nurse in the building during Turkey Day Camp.
As always, be assured of my prayers for you and your families.
God bless and Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin
