In the coming months, the login screen for several University of Georgia web applications will change.
- Many applications will transition from using Central Authentication Service (CAS) to UGA Single Sign-On (UGA SSO) in November 2019, December 2019 and January 2020.
- The look and feel of the login pages for each application will change to UGA SSO, but the login process for these applications will not. You can find a screenshot of the UGA SSO login screen on the UGA SSO informational page: https://eits.uga.edu/access_and_security/uga_sso/.
Events for Advisors
Reminder: Turkeypalooza!
Turkey Time! As we did last year, OSAS will be participating in Turkeypalooza, a food drive sponsored by Campus Kitchens which provides Thanksgiving meals to almost 200 families in the area. You can read all about it here: https://news.uga.edu/get-ready-for-turkeypalooza-2019/. To streamline the process and make it successful, groups sign up for ONE FOOD ITEM each. Our food item is a 10oz box of stuffing. PLEASE ONLY BRING 10oz BOXES OF STUFFING! A little more about that:
- Preferably Stofers or a similar brand. No cornbread or Jiffy mixes, please. This item used to be called “Cornbread Stuffing” and it would confuse people. Any sort of breaded stuffing (cornbread, turkey, chicken, vegetarian flavor) are all okay!
- Our bin is in 301 Brooks. Just bring in the stuffing and drop it in the box, and that’s it! We’re expected to bring in 60 boxes, and I don’t think we’ll have trouble hitting that considering how generous everyone around here is. J The deadline to bring in food is Thursday the 21st
NACADA Webinar, Thursday, 11/14/19, room 138 Tate from 2pm-3pm
- The Office of Academic Advising Services has reserved a space in Tate for advisors to come and watch the NACADA Webinar.
If you did not originally RSVP but would like to attend, please email Ashley Whitten at ashley.whitten@uga.edu and she will add you to the calendar invite for the webinar.

NACADA Region 4 Conference
- On March 1-3, 2020 NACADA will host the Region 4 conference in Tampa, FL. Any advisors who work under Diane Miller and are interested in attending should contact her at dmiller@uga.edu by Friday, November 22nd. Once we have a better sense of numbers, we'll be able to follow up with details about selection criteria and fund availability. If you are an advisor whose position is funded by your department, we'd love to have you along; however, you would need to request travel funds from your department head. The conference website is located here: https://nacada.ksu.edu/Community/Regions/Region-4.aspx
