Online Registration is open now for all students until August 22nd. It is highly important that students are registered prior to the first day of school with updated information. Please remember, even if you have returning students you must update their registration each year. Students who are not registered before the first day of school CAN NOT be guaranteed a seat in their anticipated teacher's classroom.

WCSD Online Registration

New Student Registration is open to all new families on Tuesday, August 6th at the Washington HS from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Any families new to the district are encouraged to enroll their students on this day. Personnel from each school building will be there if you have questions. 4:30-5:15 pm - Stewart New Families Only Meet the Teacher

5:30-6:15 pm - Stewart Meet the Teacher - AK & Kindergarten students

6:15-7:00 pm - Stewart Meet the Teacher - 1st & 2nd Grade

*NOTE* 3 year old Pre-K students will be scheduled separately to meet their teachers.

**NOTE** 4 year old Pre-K may arrive anytime between 5:30 and 7:00.

Students may arrive at Stewart starting at 7:50. Students must go to the playground for morning recess or to breakfast. At 8:05, students will go to their classrooms. Breakfast is served from 7:50-8:05.

FULL DAY SCHEDULE:

• Pick Up Lane Students: Pre-K - 2:45pm, Kindergarten - 3:00pm, 1st & 2nd Grade - 3:15pm
• Walkers & Bike Riders: 3:25pm
• Early Bus Students: 3:15pm
• Late Bus Students: 3:50pm

1:20 EARLY DISMISSAL - EVERY FRIDAY

• Pick Up Lane Students: Kindergarten - 1:05pm, 1st & 2nd Grade - 1:20pm
• Walker & Bike Riders: 1:35pm
• Early Bus Students: 1:20pm
• Late Bus Students: 1:55pm

Last year, to ensure proper supervision, student safety, and less traffic congestion there were changes made to the pick up lane procedures. Please refer to the map and the video below to understand these changes.

It is completely normal for routines to go by the way side during the summer months, which can make for a difficult transition back into the school year. Now is the perfect time to start getting your students back on a consistent sleep schedule.

For children 5-8 years old, it is recommended they get 9-11 hours of sleep each night. Setting a consistent sleep schedule now will help your child transition into the school year smoothly and prepare them to soak up all of the learning our teachers will provide!

Make sure your child's immunizations are up to date before the start of school. Contact your family doctor to see if you need to schedule an appointment.

If your child is not feeling well, please use the guidelines below to help determine if your student is able to attend school or not. If your child is not well enough to attend school, please be sure to contact the school to inform us of their absence.

Our Stewart Boosters will be meeting on Monday, August 12th at 5:00 in the Stewart Library. Any interested parents are welcome to join!

We're inviting any and all parents and students to join us for a Chalk the Walk event on Monday, August 19th from 4:30-5:30 at Stewart Elementary. Swing by Stewart and help us decorate the front sidewalk with drawings and words of inspiration as we prepare for the 1st day of school on August 23rd!!
