May Update
It’s hard to believe we’re already in the last two months of the school year! As we head into May, the days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and there's a renewed energy throughout the school. With the warmer weather upon us, please remember to send your child with a bottle of water each day to help them stay cool and hydrated. We have so many exciting activities and learning opportunities planned to wrap up the year, and we look forward to making these last 2 months both memorable and meaningful for our students!
Make sure to wear your Oilers gear every time they play to show our support during playoffs!

THANK YOU! Bus Driver Appreciation Day is May 5
Join us on May 5 as we recognize and thank our school bus operators for keeping the safety of our students their first priority. We encourage you, and your children, to take a moment to say thanks to our bus operators—who go above and beyond to provide safe and timely transportation to our students.
On behalf of Fort Saskatchewan Elementary, THANK YOU to all of our school bus operators for a job well done.
Educational Assistant Appreciation Day
On May 14, we recognize the dedication, hard work and compassion of educational assistants in our school community and across Elk Island Public Schools. Educational assistants play an integral role in education, from one-on-one student support to larger classroom dynamics. Thank you to all our educational assistants—you make a difference in the lives of students every day, and we are so grateful to have each one of you in our school.
This Educational Assistant Appreciation Day and beyond, we encourage students, families and staff to take a moment to tell an educational assistant how they’ve impacted you and to share your appreciation with them.
FSE Volunteer Appreciation
To show our heartfelt appreciation, we will be celebrating all of our wonderful volunteers during our school assembly on Friday, May 23. This special event is a small way for us to say a big THANK YOU for everything you do.
We hope you’ll join us so we can recognize and honor your incredible contributions. Your support helps make our school a better place for everyone—and we are so grateful to have you as part of our community.

“It is important that children feel relaxed and comfortable when they write any test, including provincial achievement tests (PATs). Children’s feelings about a test are very much influenced by what adults close to them say about those tests. Parents can be of most help to their children by encouraging them to relax and do their best, just as they would when writing any test.”
