March 3, 2025

Greetings Poynter Families,
As we head into March, we are starting to transition from winter into spring. Birds are returning, bud are appearing on our plants, and the rain is interspersed with days of sun. This is also a season of transitions for our students. Last week, Liberty High School visited our 8th graders and this week, our 8th graders will visit Liberty. It's an exciting time. For our 7th grade families, just to put it on your radar, forecasting (the process of selecting classes for next year) will take place for our 7th graders later in April.
On another note, we could use your help with something. We have had a rash of vandalism in our bathrooms over the last several weeks. This is not common at Poynter and is concerning. I'm hoping you can check in with your kids and encourage them to say something if they see it happening. If it continues, we are going to need to shut down some of our bathrooms to make it more manageable to monitor the situation (bathrooms will still be available, just not as conveniently). Thank you for your help with this.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Corwin
Principal

One of the events we hold is a raffle at our celebration at Hare Field. We would love your help in acquiring prizes for our students. Here is a letter explaining what we are looking for:
