Make Sure Your Household Account is Up to Date!
Before the Summer Registration begins there are a few things we do and a few things we need your help with! We need you to make sure that your Household Account is up to date and correct. This is one of the big ways to ensure a hassle free registration!
- If you have children on your account, around March 1st we will be doing a Grade Bump. This gives you the ability to register for the proper classes in the summer.
- Before resident registration begins on March 11th make sure to check your Household Account Management. This is located at the top of the screen when you click on your name in your online account.
- Please check addresses, phone numbers, emails, birthdays, household members, and grade levels.
- If the information is incorrect please give us a call and we can make the necessary corrections before you try to register.
Lottery Information
To make programs equally accessible to all, we are bringing back our Priority Resident Lottery Process. This process was used until the Summer of 2022 when program participation rates were low due to COVID. We are lucky that participation rates have recovered, and it is necessary to bring this process back to manage the registrations of our high-demand programming.
During Priority Resident Registration, high-demand programs will “over-enroll”. All “over-enrolled” programs will go to a lottery on the predetermined selection date. Participants are then randomly selected into the program and notified by email if they are in the program or placed on a waitlist list. Registration email confirmations received during Resident Priority Lottery Registration only confirm that you have been registered for the lottery.
Winter/Spring Senior Luncheon and BINGO has Seats Available!
We invite our residents 55 years old and up for FREE Pasta Lunch and Bingo on Friday, February 23rd, from 12:00-2:00 pm at the Lydell School and Community Center. We will be playing BINGO and awarding non-cash prizes. Pre-registration is required, as seating is limited. Registration Deadline is Thursday, February 15th.
Lydell Preschool 2024-2025 Enrollment In Progress!
Lydell Preschool recently held its 2024-2025 Open House for all new interested families, and enrollment has begun for the 2024-2025 school year! There are still open seats available in our 2-3 year-old room on M/W/F and T/TH, and our 3-4 year-old room on T/TH.
If families are interested in enrolling and would like a private tour, please call Caitlin Carani at 414-963-3801 for more information and scheduling.
Program Registration Updates
Remember, if online registration is not for you or you continue to have issues with the online site, registration forms can be completed and delivered/mailed to our office. Our office hours are 8:00-4:30 pm. There is also an after-hours drop box located outside the service window. The Lydell Community Center is open until 9:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. We do not suggest families email registration forms directly to office staff. Emailed registration forms are at the mercy of when a staff member checks their email and opens that email. We cannot guarantee that emailed forms will be processed promptly. In addition, technology can fail. Don't take the risk! Follow our three ways to register: Drop off, Mail, or Online.
Need to get on a Program Waitlist? If you know the program you are interested in is full, please CALL the office to be placed on a waitlist. If your registration is dropped off or received by mail you will be notified by email that the class is full and automatically placed on a waitlist. Waitlist participants are placed on the list in the order of when requests are received. Please do not email an individual staff member and ask to be placed on a waitlist, this will delay processing and most likely give you a lower place on the list. Our front desk staff is ready and willing to help you during office hours. Call 414-963-3947!
First time signing up for our programs? If you need a household account as a first-time participant, see the New Household Account Request Form below. Please remember it takes 2 business days to create and send your Household ID Number. If you don't have time to wait and need to get registered complete a registration form and mail or drop it off at the Recreation Department. This will set up your household account and get you registered all at once.

Registration Process
A digital version of the seasonal guide is available online for viewing before the start of Priority Lottery Registration for Whitefish Bay Residents. The digital version is posted on our website and Facebook page. Program guides are mailed to Residents Only and are typically received at least one week after Priority Lottery Registration has begun. Once Priority Lottery Registration starts, we encourage residents to register online, by mail, or in person. Once the lottery is processed, registrations are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. This process can vary by program, specific program registration deadlines, and processes are outlined in the guide.
