October Family Newsletter
Hello October!
We continue working on our character traits this month with responsibility. Students will work in their classrooms learning about what it looks like, how they can demonstrate it as well as help others show responsibility. Students watch videos, do activities and play games to practice the trait.
We had the opportunity to share our school wide expectations in each of the grades. We also had our first Tiger Walk of Fame to honor our September Tiger Award winners showcasing our school expectations and Respect. At the end of October staff will nominate students that are demonstrating Responsibility.
We also have the opportunity to team with you as families at our fall conferences on October 10 and 15. Please make sure you sign up through the https://www.myconferencetime.com/evergreenpark
We have had a great start to the year and I'm excited to see you all at conferences.

Statistics prove that student achievement is higher when caring adults are involved in school activities. Let's see how we can be involved and make this school the best it can be for our student population!
We have opportunities to support students in the library this month by reading to a kindergarten student or helping second graders find books. If you have one hour to spare, consider coming in to help some of our younger students. The sign up is linked here: LIBRARY HELPERS
In addition, let's lighten the load on our teachers! Sign up to help work on easy projects that can be completed in an hour at school. The sign up is linked here: HELP WITH TEACHER PROJECTS
