Good Afternoon Owl Nation Families,
As we reflect on the events of the past month, we wanted to take a moment to thank each of you and your families for being supportive and dedicated to helping your students. Your dedication to putting our students first is deeply appreciated. This month we were presented with numerous challenges: record-breaking heat, poor air quality from wildfires, and threats of violence targeting schools across California and the nation. It is easy to feel overwhelmed when faced with so many issues at once. However, amid these difficulties our students and staff were at school continuing to move forward to meet their goals.
The first Quarter is coming to an end and we will move into second quarter after fall break. Students will be at home from October 7th-11th. Upon our return, students will have an opportunity to continue to move forward towards graduation. This month we have many opportunities for families to join our HDPA staff and get to know our culture and community on campus. Please join us for Coffee with the Principal and/or Pizza and Paint Night for Parents. We would enjoy taking time to meet and talk with families!
