Student Announcements
- Attention Rincon students, get ready for an exciting night Under the Sea on October 18th! This year's homecoming dance will be from 8:00-11:30pm in the South Gym, and tickets will be available in the finance office for presale at $15! Prices will increase to $20 at the door, so act fast. Also, if you'd like to bring a non-Rincon guest, please fill out and turn in a guest permission form found in the finance office. See you there!
- Any parents interested in being a chaperone at the dance, please contact Mr. McDonough at Andrew.McDonough@tusd1.org
- Important Note: The dance will end at 11:30 p.m. We ask that all parents and rides be coordinated to pick students up promptly at 11:30 p.m. as students will not be allowed to linger and stay behind, so there is not reason to delay their ride. We want to make sure that students are safe, so please make sure all transportation is coordinated to pick-up students at 11:30 p.m. and not later.
- Thank you to all Rincon and University students and staff who donated at last week’s blood drive! Together, we collected over 20 units of blood, potentially saving up to 60 lives! RUHS will host another blood drive on December 4th, so stay tuned for more information closer to that time.
- All RUHS students going on the Japan trip – please check your emails for updates on trip meetings.
- RHS underclassmen yearbook photo retakes are on October 30th. Seniors, you still need to get your photos taken through Dodson Photography, please get your pictures taken BEFORE fall break.
- Library Announcements
- Remember to turn in your library books! There are over 175 overdue books currently. Is one of them in your backpack? Bring it back!
- Also, did you know that you can check out e-books and audiobooks from our school library? It’s easy! Just download the free Sora app and borrow digital books with your TUSD login information. You can enjoy on all major devices and tablets. The collection has books like "if he had been with me," "we were liars" and "A Tale of Two Cities". There are even books in Spanish. And bonus! You can add Pima County Public Libraries to browse and checkout titles from their collection, too! Visit the library for more information or access the site 24/7 in the Sora app.
- Please note that on Thursday, October 3, there will be no after school tutoring in the library. The library will close at 3:15. In addition, there are still over one hundred lost and overdue library books out there - in your backpack, on your desk, under your bed, or maybe in your car. Please return them so others may also enjoy them and to avoid paying fines for lost books. Thank you.
- Rincon's GSA Club will meet every Tuesday from 8-9am in room 124A. All LGBTQ+ students, staff, and allies are welcome to attend. Please see Ms. Cramer in 124A to learn more.
- Anyone interested in joining Girls’ Soccer, pre-season practices begin this week on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school on the soccer fields. You must be cleared with the Athletics office before you can participate. Please bring appropriate equipment and protective gear. See Coach Ecelbarger in room 214 or the flyers around campus for more info!
- Please remember that backpacks are NOT allowed at sporting events. You will not be allowed to enter the game with one, nor will you be allowed to leave them somewhere on campus. This will be strictly enforced. Please leave your backpacks in your car or at home. Only small, clear bags are allowed.
