LES Parents,

Our Tiger cubs finally got to have some outdoor recesses this week!! I'm totally fine with the weather staying on the warmer side!

Looking ahead to next week, we will be having a Dine & Donate at the Loveland Chipotle next Wednesday, February 5th. Parent Teacher Conferences are next Thursday, February 6th. On Thursday, we will also be kicking off our annual magazine sale fundraiser - more info to come.

Today we got to celebrate our January Terrific Tigers with a Pizza with the Principals lunch -- it's our favorite day of the month!

Finally, good luck to all of our LES Tiger cubs participating in the first ever Science and Innovation Expo at LHS tomorrow! We are so proud of all of you!!

Parent / Teacher conferences are coming up this week on Thursday 2/6.

LEPTA has arranged for the main portion of the meals that evening to be covered so that our teachers can focus on conferences, but we have a few side items we are looking for help providing.

The state of Ohio requires that school districts provide an identification procedure for gifted/talented students. However, per the Ohio Department of Education, school districts are not required to serve. Click HERE to learn more about how Loveland serves gifted students. Loveland offers full grade testing in second and fourth grades. All fourth graders are scheduled to test on Tuesday, February 25th.. If parents of third grade students wish to request testing, referral forms are available here. The form is due to the LES school counselor no later than February 14, 2025. For our January/February Compassion Project, which will be collecting Pop Can Pull Tabs for The Ronald McDonald House. They recycle the pull tabs and use the money to pay for utilities for their buildings. The Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful establishment that helps families who loved ones have an extended stay at Cincinnati Children's. Last year we were able to donate 205 pounds of pull tabs!! We will be collecting pull tabs from January 3rd to February 29th. Pull tabs can be turned in to your child's teacher or given to Mrs. Westerman in Room 100!!
