Hello Suns Families!
October is here and we have lots of incredible events in store! We want to take this opportunity to thank you for partnering with us as we aim for greatness each day! Our students have worked diligently over the past few months and are reaching academic gains every day. I am beyond proud of their success and thankful for each of you!
Please take the opportunity to review the information in the newsletter so that you are aware of all the upcoming events in store. As a reminder, please ensure that our students are here on time each day! Remember we open our doors to receive students at 7:00 am to allow almost a one hour drop off window.

Dino Dave's Shaved Iced
Cool off with a sweet treat if you'd like! Dino Dave's Shaved Ice will be on campus, Thursday October 10th. The cost for the shaved ice treat is $3. You should have already received and order form, however check with you child's teacher if you need a replacement form.

Gifted and Talented-Mrs. Buck
If you are interested in referring your child you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted October 1- December 19, 2024. You may request a referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal, Stephanie Buck. You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage.

Early Check Out
If you are seeking to check out students early, please be sure to do so prior to 2:30 pm. Also, any transportation changes will need to take place before 2:30 pm as well. This can be done by calling the campus at 281-465-7700 and speaking to our receptionist, Ms. Martha Rodriguez. Should you have questions, please let us know.
End of Day Dismissal
Parents/Caregivers this is a reminder that we dismiss each day at 3:10 pm. Please make every effort to arrive at or before that time to ensure all students are picked up no later than 3:30 pm. We greatly appreciate your support with this. If you have conflicts with after school pick up, please consider registering students for bus transportation or utilizing the YMCA After School care housed here at San Jacinto. Information about this program can be found below.

School Hours 2024-2025
This year we have a slight change in our school hours. Our instructional hours are now 7:55 am-3:10 pm. We will still open our doors to students beginning at 7:00 am to allow our families a longer drop off window. Another exciting change is we will also begin serving breakfast at 7:00 am! Please take advantage of our early drop off window. We will have staff members here ready to receive our Suns each day!
Transportation
Please be sure to register your student for transportation for the 2024-2025 school year. Be advised that it can take up to 3 days for transportation services to begin so it is imperative to register students as soon as possible. The link to access transportation registration can be found below.
Free and Reduced Lunch Application
Lunch prices for the 2024-2025 school year are as follows:
Student Lunch $3.20
Student Reduced Lunch $.40
Non-student Lunch/ 2nd Student Lunch $5.00
Lunch Entrée $3.35
Fruit/Vegetable/Bread $1.75
Milk $1.15
Child Nutrition offers meal service for breakfast and lunch to the children of Conroe ISD from EC-12th grade on a daily basis during the school year. Per CISD Board of Trustees Policy CO (Local), students are allowed 15 days (breakfast and lunch) to charge their meals. Once the 15-day charges have expired, the student is no longer allowed to charge. If you have not had the opportunity to complete your student's Free and Reduced Lunch application for the 2024-2025 school year, please click the link below to do so.
CISD News
Cars and Coffee
Join us Saturday, October 26, for our Fall District-Wide Cars & Coffee hosted by The Woodlands High School Automotive Enthusiasts Club from 8 to 11 a.m. at Woodforest Bank Stadium. There will also be an Emergency Response Vehicle Touch-a-Truck and a Car Costume Contest! Admission, car entry, and coffee are FREE! Roll-in for participants is from 7:30 to 8:00.
CISD PD Trunk or Treat
The Conroe ISD Police Department will be hosting its 10th Annual Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Woodforest Bank Stadium. This drive-thru only event will have plenty of free candy and fun for the whole family!
Conroe ISD 2024-2025 School Calendar
Smart Tag Parent App
Starting in the Summer of 2024, the SMART tag Parent App will replace the SMART tag Parent Portal.
• The SMART tag Parent Portal will be unavailable after May 24th, 2024 and will be replaced by the SMART tag Parent App which will be accessible to all parents on May 27th, 2024.
• Communication from the district will go out instructing parents/guardians to download the app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or scan a QR code. There will be detailed instructions to parents to download the app and register with the same email address used for the Parent Portal.
