Invite Everyone to our Metro CABSE Family Reunion
Welcoming a New School Year & Metro CABSE Family Reunion
Dear Members and Friends,
As we approach a new school year, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the great work we will accomplish together. The Metropolitan Cleveland Alliance of Black School Educators (Metro CABSE) is gearing up for an incredible season of growth, collaboration, and community engagement.
To kick off this new chapter, we are hosting a special event: Metro CABSE's Family Reunion! This event is not just a meeting; it's a celebration of our history, our achievements, and our future. We want all members to invite others, including past members, to join us. Please send the flyer to people you know and encourage them to attend.
Exciting News for New Members: Any new memberships registered now will have their membership fully activated in January 2025. This means that new members will enjoy these remaining five months "free," providing an excellent opportunity to get involved and experience the benefits of being part of our vibrant organization.
We are in our official membership recruiting phase. We are eager to grow our community. Our goal is to increase our membership by 50%. Since our founding in 1981, many educators familiar with Metro CABSE have retired. Now, we are looking to revive our organization with new members who are passionate, eager to work, and ready to be a part of this exciting time for Metro CABSE.
This year, we had a phenomenal Juneteenth event, and recently, the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) hosted a town hall meeting for all affiliate presidents, further strengthening our network and shared mission.
Learn About Our Roots: During our family reunion, we will also reflect on our rich history, including how Metro CABSE started in 1981. This event is an effort to reunite old members and recruit new members to join this family. We believe that by understanding our past, we can better shape our future.
We are excited about the new school year and the opportunities it brings. Let's come together to celebrate, reconnect, and plan for an impactful year ahead.
We look forward to seeing you all at the family reunion!
Sincerely,
Dr. Robin Simmons
President, Metropolitan Cleveland Alliance of Black School Educators (Metro CABSE)
