UCFSD Holiday Card Design Contest!
Tomorrow is the last day to submit your artwork for this year’s UCFSD Holiday Card Design Contest! The winning artwork submissions will be featured on the District’s official 2022 holiday cards. The contest is open to all UCFSD students (K-12). The deadline to submit your artwork is Monday, November 28, 2022.
All submissions should include the student’s full name, grade and school. Artwork can be submitted at each school’s main office or sent to the District Office (Attn: Communications Department). Or submit digitally by sending a high-quality photo of your artwork to ucfsdcommunications@ucfsd.net.
This is the Last Week of the Coin Collection Drive!
There are just a few days left until the end of UE's Fall Coin Drive! This Wednesday, November 23rd is the last day to send in coins to benefit "Blankets for Buddies," our school Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Project and the "Kindness Fund."
All of the proceeds from the coin drive are going to be used to help families in need and to purchase the materials needed to make special fleece blankets that will be donated to kids with long-term illnesses at Nemours Children's Hospital.
Please continue to send in those coins over the next few days because the grade level that raises the most money by the end of the coin drive has an opportunity to win a movie party for their class!
Reach out to Mr. D'Esposito with any questions: cdesposito@ucfsd.net

FOCUS presents How Does Your "Executive Function"?
FOCUS is proud to announce a new webinar for parents called How Does Your "Executive Function"? to take place on Wednesday, November 30th from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Perk Musacchio, M.Ed. and Educational Consultant will present on this topic.
Last minute run to the store at 9 PM to get a poster board for a project that is due tomorrow? Forgot to hand in homework that you watched get completed? Is it a case of can’t or won’t? Many parents ask themselves this very question when it comes to the behavior of someone they know (and love). Trying to parent a child whose executive function skills are not fully developed and definitely not performing efficiently can be very frustrating. Come learn what you can do to encourage these skills so that you (and your child) won’t be frustrated.
We hope you join us! Please Share!

Mrs. Oldenski was an elementary school winner last year!
Excellence in Teaching Award!
Consider nominating an outstanding and innovative teacher at UE, who has made a positive impact through their work and dedication, for this amazing award! Teachers can be nominated by present and former students, parents, administrators, coworkers, school employees, and members of the community.
Applications are currently being accepted. Please consider honoring a UE teacher for this special award! Recipients of the award and their schools each receive $1,000. The nomination deadline is December 16, 2022.
