CHARACTER EDUCATION PROGRAM
Hamilton High School recently held a session of its character education series, featuring two exceptional speakers: Russell Scott from Chandler High School and Hamilton alum Channing Chasten.
The messages delivered by both speakers resonated deeply with the student-athletes, leaving them truly inspired. Their powerful presentations were a highlight of the ongoing character education series within CUSD, which continues to impress.
Special thanks go to Ms. Heather Hackett for capturing the event with her amazing photography!

AFJROTC CADETS EXPLORE WASHINGTON, D.C. TRIP
Senior Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) cadets from Hamilton High had the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C., during the second week of fall break. Over the course of five days, they toured iconic sites including the Pentagon, the White House, the Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, and various Smithsonian museums along the National Mall. The trip highlights included sitting in the House Chambers, standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial where Dr. King delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech, and witnessing the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. As the first-ever trip to D.C. for Hamilton’s AFJROTC, the overwhelmingly positive feedback suggests it won’t be the last!

CHESS TEAM NEWS
Over the Fall break, the Hamilton Chess Team traveled to Lincoln Preparatory Academy and Arizona College Prep for the two final chess tournaments in Region 3 and clinched a spot in the 2024 State Team Championship! The highlight of these tournaments is when Nathan and Shreyas on Board 4 and 5 won against ACP and Kevin tied on Board 3. This led to the chess team tying against ACP, the #1 school in the state, ending their winning streak. The Hamilton chess team has qualified for the State championship seven times in a row! Nivid, Aarjav, Alex and Adam played a fundamental role in the chess team's success.
CONGRATULATIONS! to all the players and we wish them the very best for the State Team Championship games scheduled for November 8th and 9th.
