Tiger News
This next short week will be a busy one! We are wrapping up our study of ancient Egypt and finalizing our Argumentative Essays.
A Note From Mr. Webster in the Design and Modeling Lab:
What do fat cats, iPhones, and race cars have in common? Data lots of data. This week in Design and Modeling, 6th grade reviewed finding averages and how graphs communicate data.
A Note from Mr. Hall in the Band Room:
6th grade Band will be performing at the Patton Winter Concert on December 12th, 7pm in the Patton Gymnasium. Please check your email for more information from Mr. Hall.
As a team, we have implemented an IXL challenge for the students. As they successfully master skills on IXL, they are keeping track of them on a recording sheet. For every 25 skills mastered, students have the opportunity to choose a prize from the IXL Prize Bin in their homeroom. Each classroom has some prizes in their bin already, but we could really use some help to add to the rewards. If you would be willing to contribute some prizes, it would be greatly appreciated.
Suggested prizes: candy, small trinkets and fidgets, special pens and pencils, stickers, stress balls, etc

The ALEKS goal is to practice 15 minutes per school day and learn 5 new topics. Each student should have a grade level appropriate chapter book that they are reading at all times.
